Abstract
Electronic waste, or e-waste, is produced in large quantities as a result of the growing demand for electronic products and their quick obsolescence. E-waste adds to the degradation of natural resources in addition to endangering human health and the environment. The goal of green computing is to minimize the lifetime environmental effect of computer systems and their various components. E-waste management, which deals with the appropriate recycling and disposal of electronic items, is a crucial component of green computing. An overview of e-waste management in green computing is provided in this paper. It talks about how e-waste is now generated and managed, as well as the difficulties in recycling and disposing of it. The study also looks at the advantages of using green computing techniques and how green computing might help with e-waste management. The study emphasizes how crucial it is to put in place laws and policies for e-waste management that support ethical e-waste recycling and disposal methods. It also covers the many e-waste management strategies and their effects on the environment and public health, including recycling, reuse, and refurbishing. In order to solve the growing issue of e-waste, the paper's conclusion highlights the necessity of a cooperative effort by stakeholders, including governments, industries, consumers, and non-governmental organizations. Green computing may be very helpful in reducing the negative effects of electronic waste on the environment and encouraging environmentally friendly practices in the technology sector.
